LAST MAN STANDING: ENDURE THE MOOR

View of a dark, cloudy sky over a grassy hill with a narrow dirt path leading toward a distant city skyline near a body of water.

What to Expect

ENDURE THE MOOR IS A CLASSIC BACKYARD ULTRA. 4.167 MILES. EVERY HOUR. ON THE HOUR. MISS THE BELL AND YOU’RE DONE.

THE LAPS CONTINuE UNTIL ONE RUNNER REMAINS.

❋ The Course

The Town moor. Known for the local parkrun, charity races and community events. But it has never hosted a backyard ultra.

Same ground. Different test.

❋ The Format

4.167 miles per lap. Every hour, on the hour.

You must complete each lap and be ready to start the next lap within the hour or you’re out. The next lap starts exactly on the hour mark.

❋ The Mindset

This event is as mental as it is physical. Each hour the course doesn’t change.

But your thoughts do.

Doubt creeps in. Excuses get louder. You decide whether you go again.

❋ The Finish

There is no finish line.

The race continues till everyone but one drops out. One winner - the rest DNF.

A cluttered outdoor table with various camping and hiking gear, including headlamps, a water bottle, snacks, trowel, first aid kit, and a race bib numbered 149.
